New Music Fridays

Ah, so I was wondering why there were no new releases on Tuesday. Now it's New Music Friday.

I guess this is another nail in the coffin for traditional album/record stores, huh?

Jason Isbell

Got to First Listen Jason Isbell. True, he hasn't reinvented the wheel with his latest album, but I'd listen to this over and over. Southern rock country folk, indeed.

Andrew Combs

I'm going to revisit this blog to talk more about music, new discoveries, and songs/albums/artists that are meaningful to me. The last couple of days I've streamed the new Andrew Combs album, as a track was listed on NPR's best thus far. His song "Nothing to Lose" is lovely, haunting, and showcases his alt-folk-country song. Leading track "Rainy Day Song" may just become the song of this rainy, rainy summer.

I'm really enjoying San Fermin's new Jackrabbit album. Emily is another favorite track of the year.

Lord Huron

Lord Huron is one of my favorite bands, and I've been eagerly anticipating their new album, out today. I'm also excited to see them at the 9:30 Club in a month.Fool for Love is a fantastic single. m
