I am a little late to the game, but I've fallen in love with this Spotify discovery song "Hoop of Love" by Dominant Legs. It's fun, bouncy, summery, and just great...fun. I even ending up buying the full album last night. I think they opened for Eleanor Friedberger last summer, which makes sense, considering their styles would mesh. Damn, I really wish I had gone to that show!
I saw a concert review of Real Estate at the Black Cat on Sunday, and that show got rave reviews in the Post. The reviewer was about to call them the "new REM." Not quite yet. But that album has grown on me. Perfectly mellow.
