When I think of the first music I listened to, I think of Madonna, Michael Jackson, and Whitney Houston. Now two of them are gone. Her beautiful voice, her timeless love songs (You Give Good Love, Saving All My Love For You, Didn't We Almost Have it All, All at Once, Where Do Broken Hearts Go), and her ballads like "The Greatest Love of All" and "I Will Always Love You" are really some of the most iconic sounds of the 80s and 90s. "Greatest Love" will always remind me of singing that at school. "I Will Always Love You" is one of the most amazing vocal performances ever. Her Star Spangled Banner before the 1991 Superbowl is one of the most beautiful, memorable performances ever.
Sadly, she is gone far too soon, and so young. I didn't realize she was only 48. RIP in Whitney Houston
