Paste asks: What music have you changed your mind about? Or once hated and now loved?
My
answer? Definitely R.E.M.'s "Out of Time." I just did not get it the
first several times I heard it, based largely because I jumped on the
"Losing My Religion" bandwagon. And even throughout college, I still did
not get it. Now, it might be my favorite album of theirs. Near Wild
Heaven and Belong are both amazing singles, and the entire album is
strong (minus Shiny Happy People). I will never be the hugest REM fan,
but yeah, I've reevaluated that. And I wish I had discovered that I
indeed loved that album after all.
