New Music Tuesday

A few good releases on tap for today. Kings of Leon's new album is described as a comeback, though they never really left.

Ha Ha Tonka also released "Lessons." I loved their last album, and this one is supposed to have "bigger, richer sound, with more orchestration."

Deer Tick's Negativity has been widely promo'd.  It's a downer album, recorded as "McCauley’s relationship with Nikki Darlin of Those Darlins was falling apart and his father was sent to prison for tax fraud." I'm glad that thing with Vanessa Carlton appears to be working out...beautiful music. And here's a Pop Candy interview.

New Deer Tick

John McCauley of Deer Tick duets with his girlfriend, Vanessa Carlton, for a new single. Check out "In Our Time" now.

New Deer Tick

Deer Tick is releasing an album later this year, and "The Rock" is the first single to debut. Such a sad, melancholy tune that rocks out a bit. Check it out here.

Ryan Adams and Deer Tick

I am streaming the new Ryan Adams today along with some of his older stuff. I downloaded the track "Chains of Love" last night and liked it quite a bit.

Also, I will be listening to the new Deer Tick, which comes out on Tuesday.  It's been a great year, music-wise, for Deer Tick, Dawes, Middle Brother, and Delta Spirit (still loving their album from last year).
