2011 Music Discoveries

There have been lots of new groups I've fallen in love with this year that I did know about last year. I am streaming William Elliott Whitmore.  I just listened to Brown Bird.  I also loved Ha Ha Tonka, The Naked & Famous, Foster the People, the War on Drugs, Real Estate, and Telekinesis. I am sure there are more. And of course, there were groups that I knew about but didn't know as much about (or solo artists of which I only knew there earlier work, like Eleanor Friedberger) that I got more into this year, like Blind Pilot, Beirut, Laura Marling, Joseph Arthur, and Dawes. The countdown continues to my best of 2011!
