Here's a good list of coming attractions for acts that have new material out in 2012. Local Natives, Freelance Whales, Passion Pit, and the Shins are some of my favorites on that list. Stereogum also recently covered this, too. Animal Collective, the xx, School of Seven Bells, and Sleigh Bells are definitely high on that list for me.
What else? Well, Snow Patrol is out with one of the first new releases of 2012. Fallen Empires' promises to be good, and I will definitely be downloading it next week. I am also looking forward to more from Sharon Van Etten and Shearwater. Of Monsters and Men also promises to be a new favorite.
I'm looking forward to another great year of music and to lots of great DC music blogging in 2012!
