Of Montreal

Last night, we saw Of Montreal at the 9:30 Club.  I can't say I was a huge fan of theirs, but the over-the-top concert (complete with white balloons, crowd surfing, graphics and more) was definitely memorably interesting. I recognize a few of their songs and while I enjoyed the show, I ended up with a headache this morning. Sigh. We are getting old. The psychadelic pop kind of reminded me of Queen.  Opener Loney Dear (I keep writing Lonely Dear) was kind of mellow and bland. We missed Kishi Bashi, who seemed a bit more our speed.
