NPR Music is currently streaming the new Avett Brothers, "The Carpenter." " I really enjoyed their last album, "I and Love and You" (which is not available on Amazon MP3 right now, odd). Opening track "The First and Future Carpenter" references Detroit, and "Pretty Girl From Michigan" is also relevant, too :-)
Check it out. It's charming, folksy, bluegrass rock, and NPR is right. Mumford & Sons and the Lumineers have not hit these notes just yet. Definitely seems like one of the best albums yet for 2012.
