New Stars

Stars' new album The North is out today and streaming on Spotify. "Do You Want to Die Together" is this dreamy, romantic lush pop.  The entire album is sweeping and grandiose and breezy in a way that it makes it less statement rock (like In Our Bedroom After the War) and more romantic-pop.  It reminds me of The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Belly, The Smiths, and the Cure. Love the new album.
