Not much music left for 2012. I caught up and enjoyed some new music this month, including the Phillip Phillips album and Father John Misty. I also loved two singles from albums coming out in 2013 from my favorite bands: Frightened Rabbit and Shout Out Louds.
I'm also enjoying catching up on music that I missed, like John K. Samson's "What I Write My Master's Thesis" and revisiting Hospitality, Tanlines, and Alabama Shakes. While I would like to say there's been a lot of great music this year, I don't know if it compares as favorably as to last year. I'm glad I have some time to revisit Regina Spektor, Best Coast, Kathleen Edwards, Trampled by Turtles, Stars, Milo Greene, Family of the Year, Daughter, and Chairlift as I create my own best of 2012.
