Whitney shares her list of favorite albums over the past twenty five years here. I think it's a pretty quality list, and I certainly would not quibble with many, if any, of her selections. My favorite on their probably is U2's Achtung Baby, which is in my top 5 of all time.
I'm not sure I am ready to come up with my own list, but I have a few I'd certainly include. The National's trio of Alligator, Boxer, and High Violet certainly belong on there. Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation makes the cut. So does Brandi Carlile's The Story, Frightened Rabbit's The Winter of Mixed Drinks, Fanfarlo's Reservoir, the Head & the Heart's debut, maybe the Killers' Hot Fuss, Pete Yorn's Music for the Morning After, Snow Patrol's Eyes Open, and maybe Shout Out Louds' Work. It's a very last decade list, but it's still a work in progress. What am I missing?
