Best 80s Album?

Pop Candy reports on Slicing Up Eyeballs list of best 80s albums. The Cure's Disintegration was voted #1. Says PopCandy/Whitney:
Topping the list is The Cure's Disintegration, with six more Cure records not far behind, including The Head on the Door (No. 6), Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me (No. 7) and Pornography (No. 10).

Rounding out the top 10 are The Smiths' The Queen is Dead, the Pixies' Doolittle,Joy Division's Closer, Depeche Mode's Music for the Masses, U2's The Joshua Tree and Depeche Mode's Black Celebration. And while I can't say anything negative about any of these records — once upon a time, I owned every one of 'em on cassette — I do spot some disturbing omissions!

First off, I gasp at anyone who doesn't think R.E.M.'s Murmur or Life's Rich Pageantranks an essential album of the decade. My personal top 10 would also include either The Replacements' Pleased to Meet Me or Let It Be, along with INXS' Kick, 10,000 Maniacs' In My Tribe, Violent Femmes' debut and Sonic Youth's Daydream Nation.
I am not sure that I can argue with any of these selection.  There is a British bias, but it's a pretty good list.
