I haven't really been feeling much new music yet this year. I don't know if it has been the dearth of favorite artists releasing albums or that there was simple so much spillover music last year that I'm still catching up. There's been a stray track or two over the last week--Sharon Van Etten or Wye Oak--that I've downloaded. But it's been so hit or miss, no pun intended.
Better than Ezra has an album coming our, as does the Black Keys. What else? Architecture in Helsinki, Timbre Timbre, S Carey, and Dan Croll (April 2), and then there isn't much. The Pains of Being Pure at Heart have a May release, as does Coldplay and Conor Oberst.
I'm sure things will speed up and I will discover some new great music. But so far, 2014 has been a letdown.
