So I usually don't like to listen to Christmas music this early, but I'll offer one recommendation: Holidays Rule. Any album with the Head & the Heart, Eleanor Friedberger, Fun, the Fruit Bats, Calexico, the Shins, Andrew Bird, and Punch Brothers has got to be a good holiday mix, right?
But favorite Christmas songs of all time? Sarah McLachlan/BNL mix of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Andy Williams' It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, and any grand version of O Holy Night. Those are all tops.
I'm tired of hearing Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, and Nirvana on DC radio. I loved those tunes back in college, but it's 2011. Here are some picks of what the radio should be playing.

Not Ready for Christmas
I am sure I will listen to lots of Christmas music over the next few weeks, but it is still November. And I'm back at work. I've listened to a Ha Ha Tonka show on NPR Music and I've been listening to Wilco most of the afternoon.
Though I guess I will break down and listen to this: My Favorite Gifts. Not too Christmas-sy, right?
