I am sure I will listen to lots of Christmas music over the next few weeks, but it is still November. And I'm back at work. I've listened to a Ha Ha Tonka show on NPR Music and I've been listening to Wilco most of the afternoon.
Though I guess I will break down and listen to this: My Favorite Gifts. Not too Christmas-sy, right?
I'm tired of hearing Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, and Nirvana on DC radio. I loved those tunes back in college, but it's 2011. Here are some picks of what the radio should be playing.

New Music Tuesday: Wilco Edition
I bought Wilco's latest this morning off of Amazon's terrific $5.99 download deal.
I am still into listening to REM. It's not every day that a thirty year old classic band retires, and it's worth listening to some of their lesser known, older material (and newer unknown material). I don't think I'm into Nirvana's twentieth to bother with that.

Wilco Kind of Day
It's dreary and rainy yet again in DC, and I'm playing some Wilco today on Spotify. "What Light" off Sky Blue Sky is trying to brighten up the constant Seattle-esque gloom that has been in DC lately.
"Born Alone" is their newest track, coming soon to my ipod, perhaps.
