Last Night's Concerts

The Low Anthem was one of the best shows I've been to in a long while.  This review from a KC show encapsulates it.

I kept thinking of the word "sublime" in describing their show, with dreamy music, multiple instruments, soothing vocals, but at times raucous blasts like during Boeing 737.  I can't recall a show I've been to where each song was so carefully orchestrated, with such thoughtfulness and melody and harmony.  You can tell the band really cares about how they come across. From their joined version of Charlie Darwin, to Ohio, to music off their latest album (all played chronologically), they really performed an almost hypnotic show.

William Elliott Whitmore was more than just an able opening act. He engaged the crowd, dropped a few curse words here and there, and he played his brand of folksy rock very well.  Very endearing and earnestly.  I'm glad I won some free tickets to the show!
