Best so Far

The NPR Music's list of the best music of the year so far is out, and while I think it is better than the NPR list, it's still not perfect. I can't quibble too much with most of the top ten...Alabama Shakes, Beach House, Of Monsters and Men, Sharon Van Etten, and Regina Spektor all put out great albums. I think Best Coast, at #20, is rated far too low. And no Lumineers? Um, very missing! Fanfarlo at #45 is also far too low. I also think Kathleen Edwards is underrated at #40.  And I would have added Brandi Carlile. Who the heck voted for Lana del Rey? Bizarre. And mos toverrated? The Shins at #4. I just can't get into this. What are your picks?
